It Starts With Hello
Whether it's with a horse, a dog, a college student volunteer, or a new friend, meaningful relationships are at the heart of Storybook Farm. From the very first visit, we want your family to feel welcomed, encouraged, and excited for what comes next.

All programs are provided free of cost.
The Storybook Approach
Integrated Programming

Children don't choose just one program or activity. Horses, dogs, literature, STEM, gardens, and nature come together as one connected experience, with each activity building on the others throughout the semester.
Consistent Relationships

Our trained college student volunteers are an important part of the Storybook experience. Returning week after week allows meaningful relationships to grow naturally. Children see the same buddies each visit, giving them someone who encourages them and celebrates their successes.
Not a Single Visit

Children attend once a week during a 9–12-week semester, building on the confidence and skills they developed the week before. Each semester is built around a unique theme that connects experiences across the Farm, giving returning children something fresh to discover each season. We invite families to continue the fun and learning beyond just one semester.
Learning, Confidence & Connection

Literacy, STEM, communication, problem-solving, responsibility, and creativity are woven into each week's experiences. At the same time, children build confidence, develop trust, form relationships, discover a sense of belonging, and learn to navigate challenges.

There is no single type of Storybook child, and a diagnosis or referral is not required. Some are facing an illness, anxiety, grief, learning challenges, or difficult life circumstances. Others simply need a place where they can build confidence, experience success, and enjoy being a kid. Each child comes with their own personality, strengths, interests, and needs, and we believe those differences make our community stronger.
