Meet Katy!May 25, 2016
We are so happy to announce our we have added a new staff member to the SBF Team: Katy Knutsson, our Riding Program Coordinator! Katy has been volunteering at Storybook since last fall, but we feel like there’s still a lot to learn about her. We conducted a little “get to know you” QnA with her, so read on to find out the scoop on the new girl!
Q: Are you excited to be working at Storybook?
Katy: I love being at the Farm and spending time here. Now I get to spend even more time out here! I’m happy to finally have a summer job I actually look forward to!
Q: As a student at Auburn University, what is your major?
K: I’m a psychology major with a business minor and nonprofits philanthropy minor. I’m planning on going to Auburn’s grad school for mental health counseling.
Q: Who is your favorite animal at the Farm?
K: Boo Radley! Yay!
Q: If you could name a new SBF animal, what would you name it?
K: My favorite movie is The Jungle Book, so I feel like we probably need more Jungle Book characters.
Q: What are some fun facts about yourself?
K: I’ve been playing the piano since I was five, although I don’t do that much anymore. I’ve been riding horses for about thirteen years. I’m also one of the Superfans at Auburn, the group of students decked out in body paint at Auburn home games!
Q: What are your top three favorite bands?
K: One Direction, Van Morrison, and Ed Sheeran. I LOVE One Direction, I’ve seen them in concert twice, and I’m obsessed with Harry Styles. “Brown Eyed Girl” is actually my horse’s show name after Van Morrison’s song. Finally, Ed Sheeran, because Ed is bae.
Thank you Katy for answering our questions in an impromptu interview, and WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
